The standard horns produced by IRTE S.p.A. are carefully made according to extremely accurate calculations. Besides the normal use in the operating links, they can be used as reference samples in the delicate field of the electromagnetic measurements. The maximum error on the declared value of the gain is not higher than 0.2 dB. The gain curve on the whole band of operation is supplied, on request, together with the antenna. The horns are made of aluminium and are equipped with a pole mount with diameter included in 70 – 115 mm. The front closing is made with Teflon sheeted; the thickness varies according to the frequency. The models indicated in the catalogue are available from stock, but is possible to produce standard horns in any band up to 26.5 GHz.
