SATELLITE HEARTH STATION
The satellite antennas for receiving and/or transmitting earth stations presently manufactured by IRTE S.p.A. are configured as prime-focus or Cassegrain antennas.
Special trailer-mounted versions have been produced, with a folding reflector to be contained within the maximum size allowed by road traffic regulations. The feed-horns, can be supplied with input and outputs in the two linear polarisations and whit filters capable to give input/output decoupling values higher than 70 dB. The standard production includes reflectors with diameter of up to 4 m. It is always possible to custom-design and manufacture antennas in configurations different from those indicated (offset, Gregorian, etc), as well as the production of feed-horns in whichever combination of polarisation either linear or circular.
CLASSIFICATION / CODING
The IRTE parabolic dishes for satellite earth stations are identified by an alphanumeric code with a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 11 characters.

CU30-11T14L corresponds to a 3 m trailer carried parabolic dish with two receiving ports at 11 GHz and one transmitting port at 14 GHz in linear polarisation..

This new type of coding will progressively replace any other previous denomination.
