IRTE S.p.A has been manufacturing and measuring antennas since 1970 and has achieved a big experience in these fields.
The equipment employed to carry out the measurements is the most modern available on the market. Measurements are performed at two different sites depending on the characteristics of the device to be tested.
At Gallarate plant, a 50m high tower equipped with Scientific Atlanta Positioner and test instruments, is used for the measurement of parabolic antennas and other large antennas.
At Busto Arsizio plant, the smaller radiating structures are tested with instruments that operate in the time domain executing the Fast Fourier Transformation. This system allows removing from the measured trace, the inevitable reflections due to the near objects and shows the true response of the antenna. The panel composite antennas are measured both for the horizontal and the vertical radiation pattern.
The vertical diagrams are tested with a near-field technique that allows obtaining very accurate results.
The Irte laboratories are also equipped to perform near-field (electromagnetic pollution) and coverage test in the broad-casting and cellular telephony field.
Most of the measurements are computer-controlled and fully automated; most of the software is developed and written within the company.
All the instruments are regularly checked and calibrated and their performances are verified by the designers.

We can verify and measure all theoretical studies executing territorial surveys by the use of mobile vans equipped on purpose with instruments (spectrum analysers, field measurement analyser, GPS, and so on) and telescopic pole up to 15 meters (up to 50 feet). |
