Thanks to its remote control capability, the Remote Controlled Panoramic Head (RCPH ) can provide connection with either semi-fixed or mobile radio links in any location once the head is installed where it has radio frequency coverage.
Normally the point of installation of the head coincides with a point of access to a backbone of fixed radio links or to an existing telecommunication network.
Up to 100 RCPH can be distributed countrywide under a single centralized computer equipped with the appropriate software then each of the RCPH can be remotely controlled via modem over a switched or leased line.
At a single remote site, up to 32 individual RCPH can be controlled individually trough a data bus. This can be achieved either from the local computer or via a single incoming telephone line. The local computer provides both local control and also protects access against unauthorized use.
This remote control feature not only renders manual intervention totally unnecessary but its simplicity and precision pointing guarantee a margin of error less than 0.1° on all axes. Individual consoles connected to the local RCPH and the centralized software system simplify the operation and guarantee complete control.
