The PRxxy/D radio link system is an advanced design, long haul microwave equipment, suitable for temporary applications, in which ease of installation and versatility of operation are particularly important. It is capable of supporting both analogue and digital modems. In the digital configuration it can support data rates up to 51 Mb/s with different modulation techniques (4QAM offset, 16 QAM).
The analogue configuration supports the transmission of 1 TV (colour) signal and 4 sound channels, or 1 analogue TV signal, 1 sound channel and one 2 Mb/s digital stream in super-video sub carrier.
From the front panel, or from an external PC, it is possible to control and monitoring very easily the output RF frequency, the output level, the RF received level, all the alarms and so on.
The system is available in different versions, covering a wide range of RF frequencies: 5, 6, 7, 10, 12, 14, 18 and 23 GHz. It is composed of one indoor unit in 19" 3RU rack; the digital modem replace audio boards and is a plug-and-play module. The PRxxy/D employs the most modem design techniques: frequency synthesis allows the user to set the desired RF frequency from the front control panel or from a personal computer, connected through a serial port.
There is no need of output RF channel filter because of high clear spectrum and possibility of frequency agility.
The output RF channel filter is available on request for particular applications in which is needed an extreme spectrum cleaning. In order to improve digital performances and give protection, it is possible to combine two PRxxy/D both in Tx and Rx site, using a 1+1 Hot Standby equipment for switching between modulator and/or RF parts at TX site, and an Hitless switch at Rx site. |
