All modules are equipped with local alarm leds and remote alarms. The active circuits are broadband. The RF converters include respective local oscillators; for modifying the frequency a simple and fast opearation is needed. The audio modulators are of VCO type, whose frequency stability is guaranteed by a PLL with reference crystal oscillator. Also the audio frequency variation need a simple and fast operation.
The intermediate power, solid state systems, have been designed for the FDM (Frequency Domain Modulation) analogue transmission of 1 TV (color) and associated sound channels subcarriers.
The main characteristics of these systems are the following:

-High transmission capability: 1 TV (color) + 4 sound carrier
-Heterodyne Tx with 70 Mhz IF, followed by wide band RF amplifier.
-Modular design and ease of maintenance and repair.
-Microprocessor control makes possible the settings of many parameters and alarm levels.
-Compact design (19", 3HU standard rack).

The IR-10 / IR14 is a solid state microwave radio relay system for the transmission of 1 TV (color) signal + 4 sound channels, operating in 10.000 ÷ 10.700 GHz (IR-10) and 14.200 ÷ 14.600 GHz (IR-14) frequency range.
The frequency channel arrangement and the characteristics of the equipment are in compliance with CCIR standards; the equipment is formed by separate boards, each of them assolving different functions and easy to replace. The frequency change inside the operating band is achieved by substituting of RF board (which could be extracted from the frontal panel) and branching filter.
The transmitter is a complete equipment for 1 TV (color) + 4 sound channels including: branching filters, final stage amplifier (+30 dBm), heterodyne up-converter with RF driver, FM modulator BB to IF 70 MHz, 2 double sound modulators, twin power supply (AC and DC), CPU board for overall control.
The receiver is a complete equipment for 1 TV (color) + 4 sound channels including: RF filters, heterodyne down-converter, IF amplifier with A.G.C., FM demodulator from IF 70 MHz to BB, 2 double sound demodulators, twin power supply (AC and DC), CPU board for overall control.
